Karen is a 3 yr old female spayed Chihuahua mix. She does have a Cherry Eye in her right eye but it does not cause her any issues at this time. She is extremely timid and nervous around new people and takes time to warm up. She needs someone that will go slow with her and help her build up her confidence.

Karen was part of a hoarding situation group so there are a few things you need to know about her. Karen has limited social skills. She needs a patient adopter that will help her adapt and blossom into the wonderful girl we know she is. She likes/needs the company of another dog. She’s always been surrounded by lots of other dogs so she gets a little anxious when alone.

She is crate trained but will have the occasional accident in the crate if left in for too long. She will bark in her crate initially but does settle down. Apartment living is probably not ideal for her. She does not know how to walk on a leash. She is not housebroken but she’s getting much better. Previously she was never allowed outside so she had no choice but to use the bathroom inside.
